The 'A' team suffered their 5th successive defeat last night, this time going down by 3-1 at the hands of Cheddleton 'D'. They have not won a match now since the 7th November last year. Max Launay got us off to a good start with an early win on board 3, his first for the club. However, it was all downhill after that as Glyn and Kas failed, uncharacteristically, to manage a point between them on the top two boards. Robert West put up a great fight on board 4 against a player graded nearly 30 points higher than him, only to lose on time. Click here to view the match score card.
Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children.
