The 'C' team have drawn level with Cheddleton 'G' and Meir 'C' at the top of Division 5, although they lag behind on Game Points. However, they still have a match in hand of Meir 'C'.
Despite fielding a weakened team last night, and being outgraded by Newcastle 'F' on the top 3 boards, they pulled off a great performance to win by 2.5 - 1.5. There were wins by Mike on board 1, halting his recent run of bad form, and Stuart on board 2, who assures me that his game qualifies for a brilliancy prize !! I don't want to tempt fate but a win next Monday against bottom of the table Cheddleton 'I' would see us go top on our own.
