It was a tremendous result for the 'A' team last night. A 2.5 - 1.5 win at Cheddleton 'D' took us to joint top of Division 3 on match points, but just half a point behind Newcastle on game points, and half a game point ahead of Alsager. A win next Tuesday at Alsager would see us take top spot on our own. There were excellent draws on boards 3 and 4 from Mike and Robert against higher graded opponents. Glyn then made sure of at least a draw from the match with a great win on board 1. It was then left to Rob Taylor to bring home the bacon with a draw on board 2 in a game he should really have won.
