Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. Summer Holiday
There are no more events of any description planned for over the Summer Holiday period so you can all relax now. It will just be club nights between now and the end of September. The next dates to note are the club AGM on Monday 7th September and the annual South Potteries Chess Challenge Cup match against Meir on Monday 21st September, which it is their turn to host. The team for this match will be announced nearer the date. League matches will then start again in October. Stuart will be chasing you for your annual subscriptions in August so that we can get you all registered with the ECF for the coming season. Don't forget that if you are intending to play in any congresses or tournaments of any description you will need ECF Silver Membership, which is slightly more expensive. Stuart will let you know how much he needs to squeeze out of you in due course.
