Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. Club Championship
The 4th round match between Steven and Stuart can't be played in time so has been declared a draw. Edward has withdrawn from the competition so Peter has been awarded a full point bye for the game he was supposed to play against him. This, therefore, completes the 4th round. The 5th round draw will be made shortly. The 1st and 15th June are unavailable for matches as the Club Rapidplay Championship and the Keith Arkell Simultaneous are being played on these days. In view of this, the final date for the playing of 5th round matches will be Friday 11th July. There will then be a fortnight to play 6th round matches. The competition MUST be finished by the end of July in order to get trophies engraved before the AGM.
