Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. First Win Of 2015 For 'C' Team
The 'C' team won their first match since the end of December last night, beating a Newcastle 'F' team who still harboured outside hopes of a late run for the Division 5 Championship. Team Captain John White led the way with an early win on board 4, followed by Mike on board 1. Ernie and Chris both drew on boards 2 and 3, although Chris blundered in his endgame whilst a Queen up. A 3 - 1 win wasn't to be sniffed at though and neither was the homemade Ginger Cake from young Edward !! Click here to view the full match score card.
