Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. The Wanderer Returns
Well just back from sunning myself in Lanzarote only to find that the 'C' team have done their best to squander their chances of winning Division 5 by dropping 3 points from their 2 matches while I was away. A 2 - 2 draw against the 'D' team didn't help matters but this was followed up by a loss at Meir 'C' in a match that we should have expected to win. We are still joint 2nd in the table, 2 points behind the leaders, Cheddleton 'K', but we cannot afford to drop any more points if we are to have any chance of winning this Division.
