There was more self inflicted misery for the club this evening as the 'A' team went down by 2.5 - 1.5 at Newcastle 'D' in a match that we expected to win. It was self inflicted because Kas failed to switch his mobile phone off and, lo and behold, it rang, causing him to lose immediately. Mike got a lucky win on board 3 when his opponent left his Queen en prise and I got my 7th draw of the season on board 2. We were then reliant on Ray to try to get something out of his game on board 1 but, unfortunately, it wasn't to be. Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children.
