Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. Brian Birchall Wins Club Championship
Many congratulations to Brian Birchall on winning the 2013/2014 Club Championship, beating Rob Taylor in last night's play-off. Both of the rapidplay games ended in draws and it was then decided by an Armageddon game. Following the toss of a coin Brian had the white pieces and 10 minutes on his clock but had to win, whilst Rob had 8 minutes on his clock but only needed to draw. Brian came out on top and became the new Champion in his first season as a club member.
