Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. 'A' Team Run The Leaders To A Close Finish
The 'A' team ran unbeaten Division 2 leaders, Macclesfield, to a close finish last night, eventually going down by 3 - 2. We were out of luck on the top two boards with Ray and Rob both losing. Derrick Wallace, making one of his rare appearances got an excellent win on board 3. Unfortunately I turned what looked like a better position into a loss on board 4 but Mike got another good win on board 5. You can click here to view the full match scorecard.
