Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. Bully Boys Still Throwing Their Weight About
The Fenton Bully Boys continued their winning start to the season in Division 4 with a 2.5 - 1.5 win at Cheddleton 'H' last night. Rob drew his 6th game of the season on board 1. He's still yet to win a match this season but, on the bright side, he hasn't lost yet either. Mike put us in front with an excellent win on board 2 and then Ernie wrapped it up with yet another win on board 4. He has now scored 6 wins, 1 draw and only 1 loss from his 8 matches this season. Derek blundered right at the end of his game, overlooking a mate from his opponent in a stone cold drawn ending. Fortunately it didn't affect the result so he's been forgiven !!
